With summer just around the corner, it’s time to wipe down the grill and get it ready for a season of steak, burgers, ribs, and more. Grilling is a quintessential part of summertime and can be a blast for all ages. However, with that said there are some things you’ll need to do in order to keep your grill in tip-top shape for years to come.
First, check your propane tank levels. If you’re getting close to empty then it’s time to fill her up again before you run into any problems later on in the season. If you’re not sure if you have enough gas left in the tank then use a BBQ-gas meter (search Amazon) to check it out. It’s an extremely inexpensive tool that will tell you how many gallons are left in your propane tank so you know when it’s time to refill.
Second, make sure all the components of your grill work properly. This includes everything from the burner valves to your igniter and thermometer. Make sure they’re all clean and free of obstructions like rust or buildup. If something isn’t working right then go ahead and replace it before you need to rely on that part of your grill to cook dinner for you and your loved ones.
