If you haven’t checked out Zara Home, it’s time to change that. The retailer’s new collection of furniture and decor pieces is, well, the perfect addition to your home. (And your wardrobe.)
Launched in 2013, the line of stand-alone stores in cities like New York, London, and Paris have offered a glimpse into the world of Zara Home: a curated gallery of sofas, tables, rugs and bedding accessories that can be purchased on the spot. So we were thrilled when Zara launched zarahome.com to bring a selection of new home pieces to us online shoppers.
The items are all reasonably priced; there are no $10K sofas in sight here — instead, you’ll find a variety of small decor items for your space for a few hundred dollars or less. Here are our top picks from the site:
SMALL STOOL ($39.99)
This stunning teak wood stool is a perfect addition to an earthy-toned living room. You can even use it as a side table and decorate it with books or vases, or use it as a plant stand to add height to your favorite greenery.
QUILT WITH CONTRAST EMBROIDERY ($199.00)
With the hefty price this product comes with, this is definitely an investment. It will take your bedroom to a whole different level of comfort and luxury. It’s made of 100% cotton. Just make sure not to put it into kids’ rooms, or somewhere it might get dirty fast since it requires specialist cleaning only.
SMALL IRREGULAR-SHAPED MIRROR ($129.00)
The organic shape of the mirror makes it look like a piece of art, and the thin black frame allows it to fit perfectly with both dark and light backgrounds.
FIBER HAMPER ($119.00)
Even though it doesn’t look like it, this hamper weighs 720g, making it look and feel expensive. Its versatility is what made us obsessed with the idea of having multiples around the home. If you are a fan of gardening you can use it as a basket to carry the produce, or any other tools. It’s also perfect for picnics, storage, or as a wood holder near your fireplace. Its flexible handles make it very practical as well.
BATH SLIPPERS ($29.90)
If you are anything like us, you know the struggle of not having enough slippers around the house when the guests arrive. So it’s always a good idea to buy a few extra pairs of relatively inexpensive, yet good-looking slippers that you don’t care about getting lost. These come in sizes 3-14, and two different colors: sand and dark green.
ENAMEL FOOD BOWL ($25.90 – $29.90)
Don’t forget about your furry little ones! They deserve to have nice plates as well. These vintage-looking enamel bowls with a contrast rim blend well with other decors around your home, so you won’t feel like hiding them from your eyesight. They come in two different sizes with a $4 difference in the price. Just make sure to order 2 if you’d like to use them for water and food, as they are sold separately.
UPHOLSTERED BOUCLÉ ARMCHAIR ($499.00)
Boucle fabric with contrasting wooden accents became a popular choice for designers around the world, including Zara Home. No need to overthink where you’d place this armchair as it looks great from all points of view. You’ll want it staged with empty space around it, to allow it to shine.
RECYCLING BAGS – SET OF 4 ($49.90)
These washable recycling bags are perfect for organizing and transporting recyclable materials. They are easy to store since they are completely foldable and labeled for easy access. The earthy colors make them look better than any other garbage bag.
